Suzu lab / the strings

Three strings from three kinds of mathematics: a chain of masses stepped by Verlet, a delay line closed by a bridge with a body of its own, and a sum of modes plucked at a point.

The chain is stable while its Courant number k·dt² stays at or under 1 — the bound the engine derives from each note and checks when a patch loads. Force it to 1.05: with the gate on, the engine refuses the patch and says why; bypass the gate and the shortest wave grows by itself until the lab catches it.

Click a key to pluck and hold the note. Keys also on the keyboard: A W S E D F T G Y H U J K.
